Watch Its difficult to think of a group that has been as interesting to watch evolve as A Tribe Called Red. Its been just four years since the group released their explosive debut record and introduced the world to powwow-step, a combination of electronic/dance and traditional First Nations music. With each release the trio seems to push their unique style into thoughtful new directions. Just last week they released We Are The Halluci Nation, the next chapter in the groups evolution which features a myriad of musical collaborators including Yasiin Bey, Tanya Tagaq, Shad, and renowned wordsmiths John Trudell and Joseph Boyden, to name a few. Already the album has been praised from coast to coast to coast, being described as critical listening for all Canadians.
Lana got to talk with A Tribe Called Red (Ian DJ NDN Campeau, Bear Witness, and Tim 2oolman Hill) backstage at WayHome before their performance and found out exactly how the band has evolved so much on this new album.
