Watch Scientists have discovered a new fault line along California’s Salton Sea. Some 200 small earthquakes have recently hit the region, increasing the probability that the ‘big one’ could also strike soon. The San Andreas Fault, on which the Salton Sea is directly located, is long overdue for a significant earthquake after having not experienced a magnitude 7 or great quake in over a hundred years. RT America’s Brigida Santos joins Simone Del Rosario to explain how the new discovery and smaller quakes could be linked to the famous fault line.
