Rain is in the forecast for Game 4 of the National League Division Series, but so far the game is still on. The game between the Cubs and the Nationals is in the hands of Major League Baseball, which moved the game time up last night to 4:30 p.m. due to the strong possibility of rain tonight. There was no rain at 2:30 p.m., but there’s still a 60 percent chance of rain around game time, and showers can be expected on and off in the Chicago-area in the early evening hours. That could affect the Game 4 starters, Jake Arrieta and Tanner Roark, and neither team wants to burn one of their starters and then have a long rain delay forcing them to go to the bullpens. MLB has not made any announcement, but if the game was to be rained out it would be rescheduled for Wednesday, likely in the daytime. MLB executive vice-president Joe Torre will make the final call on whether to start the game. A Cubs win today would send them to the National League Championship Series for a rematch against the Dodgers, which would begin on Saturday in Los Angeles. A Nats win would force a Game 5 on Wednesday in Washington. Kyle Hendricks and Stephen Strasburg will be the Game 5 starters, if necessary, in a rematch of Game 1.
