Watch Windows hides many files and folders by default, preventing users from deleting or modifying files they shouldn’t touch. But you can make Windows show these hidden files by changing a single setting.It’s easy to make any file hidden, too. Just right-click it, select “Properties”, and toggle the “Hidden” attribute on or off. On the ribbon on Windows 8 and 10, click the “Hide selected items” button to quickly make files and folders hidden or visible.

From the Windows 8 Start Screen, click on the Control Panel app.
When the Control Panel opens scroll down to the bottom and click on the More Settings option.
The traditional Windows 8 Control Panel will now open. When it is open, click on the Appearance and Personalization link.
Under the Folder Options category, click on Show Hidden Files or Folders.
Under the Hidden files and folders section select the radio button labeled Show hidden files, folders, or drives.
Remove the checkmark from the checkbox labeled Hide extensions for known file types.
Remove the checkmark from the checkbox labeled Hide protected operating system files (Recommended).
Press the Apply button and then the OK button..
Press the Windows Key+ E.
In the window that appears, select the View tab in the top left-hand corner.
Locate and click Options on the right-hand side or click the down arrow and select Change folder and search options.

In the Folder Options window that appears, select the View tab.
Locate the Advanced settings: section of the window.
Under Hidden files and folders, select Show hidden files, folders and drives.
Click Apply, then OK.
Tip: If you do not want to see hidden files in Windows, select the Dont show hidden files, folders and drives option in step 6 above
