Watch Assorted SABEI techniques against an unarmed attacker. Please note, that this is a technical demonstration at very slow speed. None of these techniques were staged or choreographed.
SABEI is a traditional weapon-based martial art, that uses soft items such as whips, ropes, fishing nets, sashes or belts as improvised weapons
In ancient history it was a common custom to give young women away as concubines. Since they were not allowed to carry any weapons or flee in case of a raid, these women were usually condemned to become defenseless victims. In order to protect them ancient free warriors (Pahuyuth) secretly taught them how to fight with cloth (SABEI) and thus gave birth to the most dangerous Pahuyuth discipline. SABEI is an excellent choice for self-defense purposes and is traditionally passed on in honor of the many nameless women who suffered violence and/or gave their lives throughout history.
Please note, that some of the techniques in this video are not 100% suitable for self-defense purposes, depending on the laws of the country you live in. We do not take any responsibility and we are not liable for any damage caused through whatever you are doing.
So please remember for a lawful and thus realistic self-defense:
1. Real self-defense begins, when you can not just run away.
2. Real self-defense ends, when an attack is averted.
3. Always stay within the laws of your country!
WARNING: Some of these techniques are very dangerous and can lead to serious injuries. DO NOT attempt to recreate or re-enact any activities performed in this video. We do not take any responsibility and we are not liable for any damage or injuries caused through whatever you are doing.
